WELCOME TO OUR HOMEPAGE
WELCOME to the St. Anthony's on-line community! Our church is a friendly, family-oriented congregation comprised of 360 dedicated families. Located about a one hour drive southwest of St. Louis, we pride ourselves on being a rural community whose congenial people make this a special place to live and worship.

Father Paul Telken, Pastor

2009 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL IS UNDERWAY !
The Annual Catholic Appeal is actively underway in all parishes in the St Louis area. This is the No. 1 Catholic Fundraiser in the USA aimed at helping the unfortunate and needy. This year more than ever before, we need your help!

The St. Anthony campaign was focused on the three weekends of April 25-26, May 2-3 and May 9-10. During the drive we heard the beautiful 2009 campaign video and the testimony of a very special ACA Guest Speaker, our own Sister Joann. We again erected an ACA tent in front of church to distribute and collect ACA pledge cards.
The Archdiocese goal for 2009 is to collect $12.5 million in pledges and distribute it all to the needy in the St. Louis area. Our St Anthony goal in 2009 is to best the amount given last year, $22,555, while achieving 17 new donors. Our parish has been directly blessed by the generosity of the ACA for many consecutive years. This coming school year we will receive $50,000 from the ACA to support our school over 10 months beginning Sept. 1, 2009. In addition we will receive $30,000 to directly pay down the school loan and hopefully another $25,000 in tuition support for our teachers. Last year we gave $22,555 to the ACA so we are poised to receive back almost 5 times what we give. This has been going on for years.

We as a parish need to show the ACA we are thankful for their generosity. We ask that every family in the parish give something to the drive. Just give what you can. Last year our parish was tied for 6th place in giving participation with 84%. This was a tremendous accomplishment and most likey the reason we are again receiving a sizeable ACA gift this year. Please help us maintain our high participation percentage. Please be an integral part of our parish and join in the giving!

The ACA website containes many excellent minivideos and other data on the campaign. If you would like to visit the website go to :
www.archstl.org/stewardship and click on the Annual Catholic Appeal..then find and enjoy the videos.

Go in Peace to Love and Serve the Lord

KNIGHTS FOOD DRIVE..Huge Success
The local Sullivan Knights of Columbus hosted a major food drive on Palm Sunday weekend April 4-5, 2009 to help bolster the diminished food supplies at the local Sullivan Mission. The food drive was extremely successful and we delivered scads of food to the Mission. Many thanks to St Anthony School, St Anthony PSR group, the Sheltered worksop, people who brought food to our dance, bingos and fish fry and all parishioners of both Holy Martyrs and St Anthony who brought food on Palm Sunday. And a big thank you to Bruce Head who organized the drive and to Matt Peregoy and David Mc Culloch for assisting. Together we did very very well !

Wow, 60 years of graduates! Just think of the possibilities for such a group.
The timing couldn't be better. The new school is a beautiful demonstration of what can be accomplished when people unite for a common cause.

The Alumni Association will be an excellent opportunity for all graduates to reunite and determine how they would like to make a lasting impact on the lives of many future students of St. Anthony School in Sullivan, Missouri. By getting involved at the ground level, you will have the opportunity to set the direction for the Association. It is a unique time in St. Anthony School history. So, join in the fun.

In order to distribute information regarding the formation of the Alumni Association, we need addresses - AND LOTS OF THEM. Please submit your name and address to us, if you are a Graduate. Also, notify anyone you know who may be interested in more information about the Alumni Association.

Your co-operation is greatly appreciated and we look forward to inviting all graduates to the Alumni Association Events in the near future.
